Burj Al Arab sits on an artificial island near the Jumeirah beach in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It is one of three self-proclaimed seven star hotels in the world. The other two are Emirates Palace (also in the United Arab Emirates), and the Town House Galleria in Milan. This is controversial in the hotel industry, since the rating system is supposed to be a five star scale.
The Burj Al Arab hotel is an iconic building that was designed to look like a ship.
